"House of Cards" Season 3 promises more complicated plots and it starts off with Heather Dunbar who is still hoping to speak with President Frank Underwood on the strike that has killed some civilians.

While having the discussion on the drone strike mess, Frank has to contend with Heather's questions.  Complication sets in when Remy and Seth tells Frank that Heather is being considered a bet for the 2016 presidential nomination.  She might not be ready for the job but she still poses to be an alarming presidential candidate, as per reports by NY Post.

The new episode opens showing Heather defending before the Supreme Court the drone attack made in Aziz.  Frank sees this opportunity to convince the then Alzheimer's stricken Justice Jacobs to finally retire so a vacant seat would open on the Supreme Court and place Heather there.  This is a good way to eliminate her from the nomination.  Frank learns that convincing Justice Jacobs proves otherwise.

Hollywood Reporter revealed that the season also deals with Gavin's search for Rachel as a favor to Doug Stamper but Gavin faces problems with the FBI.

Meanwhile, Heather Dunbar faces difficult times with Doug after saying his intention of joining her on the Democratic race.  Heather sees him as an asset as he knows a lot about Frank and this makes Frank on the losing end.  Now that Heather is becoming a threat to him, Frank will definitely turn back to his old self:  self-confident and yes, ruthless.

Season 3 also shows Cathy and Claire trying to send U.N. peace troops in the Jordan Valley.  Russia is posing as a big opposition, but they need to unite and try to initiate the existing Uniting for Peace Resolution they might be able to change Russia's rejection and proceed to the waiting General Assembly.
