Sasuke faces an enemy who has the same ideology as he had. Chino, the last member of the Chinoike clan, is out to exact revenge on the five major villages that helped drive his own clan to near extinction. The only roadblock along the way is Sasuke, who happens to be the last member of the exalted Uchiha Clan.

-After learning that it was none other than Chino as the culprit behind the exploding humans and series of attacks on major villages, Susuke decides to take on the challenge head on. He knows that there's no one in the world who understands Chino more than him, a former avenger.
-Chino hates Sasuke for being a hypocrite. She despises him for stopping her plan of bringing down the Shinobi system of villages, a plan Sasuke was planning to execute himself until his defeat at the hands of his friend, Naruto, at the Valley of End.
-Chino uses her Ketsuryugan to create dragons out of the blood abundant in Hell Valley. Sasuke, on the other hand, relies on his Sharingan to counter the Ketsuryugan effect. However, Sasuke's trump card in the battle appears to be the Rinnegan, the exalted dojutso power of the Sage of the Six Path.
-Sasuke manages to defeat Chino. However, he promises the last member of the Chinoike clan to protect the peace she was longing for. Along with Nowaki/Fushin, Chino gets imprisoned in a village but were freed in exchange for work for Kumogakure and Kirigakure. The two agrees to work with the villages as payment for their crimes.
-Sasuke receives a letter of Naruto telling him how proud Sakura was for him as a great influence for Chino and Nowaki. Sasuke then decided to go to Konoha. At the gate, he finds Sakura welcoming him back to the village. In the final page of Sasuke Book of Sunrise, Sakura cheerfully greets Sasuke, saying "Welcome home, Sasuke."

Naruto Shippuden will not be airing this Thursday to give way for New Year's celebration specials on Tokyo TV. The TV series will resume on Janaury 5 with the final episode of Sasuke Shinden Book of Sunrise. Watch streaming feed of Naruto Shippuden Episode 488 on CrunchyRoll.
