Fans could expect a Rain-Gangnam Style's PSY collaboration happening soon. This was the announcement made by the South Korean superstar in a press conference in Singapore on Dec. 29, Thursday.

The "Full House" star had a press conference before his scheduled solo concert on Dec. 30, Friday, at the Resorts World Sentosa. His Singapore concert was the last leg of his Squall regional tour that started in Nov. 2016. Rain-Gangnam Style's PSY collaboration will be part of Rain's next album.

"PSY will be the producer," The Jakarta Post quoted Rain as saying. "He is well-known for his retro and EDM, but this time it will be more R&B style."

It is the first time that the actor-singer will be working with the "Gangnam Style" singer. The Rain-Gangnam Style's PSY collaboration followed Rain's new solo single, which will be out in the next two weeks.

PSY's "Gangnam Style" is still the most-watched video on YouTube. In 2016, he topped the list of the top 10 most watched K-Pop on YouTube with his song "Daddy" from his 7th album "Chil-jip Psy-da."

Meanwhile, aside from Rain-Gangnam Style's PSY collaboration, Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, expressed his wish to help other aspiring Korean talents. While doing his singing and movie projects, he is also busy with his own entertainment label Rain Company that was founded in 2015.

In an email interview with Straight Times, he said that he wants to help improve the K-Pop culture, by honing other talents.  He added that he is not searching for a star quality, but is determined to enhance one's potential to be a huge star.

Rain, who was a self-made star, reportedly experienced being turned down by talent agencies during auditions due to his undesirable looks. It was JYP Entertainment that gave him a break when it launched his solo singing career in 2002.

After completing his compulsory military training in 2013, Rain has starred in the Bruce Willis and John Cussack- starrer, "The Prince." He also appeared in K-dramas "My Lovely Girl" and "Please Come Back, Mister." In 2015, Rain finished Chinese dramas "Diamond Lover" and will be featured in the soon-to-be-aired "Endless August."
