Chinese TV makers Hisense and TCL have helped raise the standard for companies in the television making sector. Stating 2017 as a "critical moment," Hisense president Liu Hongxin announced the company's product lineup at the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A 4K TV which measures 100 inches diagonally was released by Qingdao-based Hisense. This model is compatible with the format of its new high dynamic range. Consumers would be able to avail of the television in the summer for $13,000.

The company's other TVs that would be available in the early part of 2017 are: H10D 4K ULED Smart TV with versions ranging from 70 and 75 inches and the H9D and H9D Plus 4K ULED Smart TVs which are smaller at 50, 55, 65, and 75 inches.

Likewise, the 65 and 86-inch screen sizes of Hisense will be in the H8D 4K TV series.

Customers ranked Hisense's Smart TV series' picture quality as the same with Samsung and Vizio, according to Jerry Liu, Hisense America's CEO.

Hisense's rival in the business, TCL, based in Guangdong, introduced its X series. Ultra slim with only 7.9mm thick for its X2 model and 6.99mm thick for its X3 model, these TVs also come in 55 and 65 inches, have QD display technology, MEMC technology and Dolby Vision. All these TVs have six Harmon Kardon speakers and Bluetooth audio.

Hisense and TCL both stressed how important smart TVs are in this age of the smart home ecosystem. In fact, according to the president of Hisense, "global TV makers are approaching a technology intersection and many are choosing to focus their future product development on different technological innovations."

To change the viewing experience plus the belief that the quality of picture is not important without quick access, TVs of Hisense that will be released in North America will have preinstalled apps ranging from Netflix, VUDU, Amazon and YouTube.

The Roku media player will see a partner with the company releasing the Roku TVs line. This means access to the U.S.-based streaming entertainment company's 4,500 channels for films and television.
