The rumored Nokia P Android flagship is likely set for introduction via the MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Spain that kicks off February 26. In a Facebook post Nokia confirmed the formal intro of the Nokia 6 as well as other big announcements, hinting of more new devices to come from the former King of Mobile.

Nokia has advised to "get ready ... (and) save the date," according to CNET, picking on the latest post by HMD Global on Nokia's official Facebook page. It was clear that the Finnish mobile maker will make official the China debut of the Nokia 6 - a mid-range Android-based device that was recently unveiled.

But what caught the eyes of many observers was Nokia's tease that there will be "more announcements to follow," on the same annual gadget trade show, triggering speculations that apart from the Nokia 6 more devices will be uncloaked.

One solid candidate would be the handset codenamed Nokia P. if indeed this is the flagship handset that Nokia supposedly is working on, it will be an Android phone that will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC. According to WCCFTech, Nokia Mobile has already confirmed that one hero device from the company will run on SD 835.

That being the case, speculations are rife that the Nokia P on SD 835 will have a RAM provision of no less 6GB. On the camera side, the device is said to boast of a 23MP main shooter and powered by Carl Zeiss optics.

WCCFTech added on its report that the Nokia P will unbox with a virtual assistant named Viki, obviously the brand's answer to Apple's Siri and Google Now on the Android platform. And it is believed too that right of the box, the Nokia P will be powered by the latest Android Nougat build.

The latter will ensure that Nokia P will hit the market fully capable of virtual reality features via Google's Daydream platform, the same report added.

It's highly likely that the Nokia 6 will become available shortly after its MWC 2017 unveiling, the actual rollout possibly no later than March. As for the Nokia P Android flagship, supply chain rumors indicate of Q3 2017 release date for the device or as early as July touchdown.
