"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 star Camilla Luddington recently announced that she is expecting her first child. But when asked if her pregnancy will be written into her character Jo's storylines, the actress has some interesting answers to share.
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, Luddington said that she doubts that her real-life pregnancy will also be part of Jo's journey. After all, she and Alex (Justin Chambers) have not had sex because they are not doing well at the moment.
But even though her pregnancy will not be part of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13, Luddington still said that she is rooting for Alex and Jo to get back together. "I am Team Jolex, but they are just so messy. And with the midseason finale, it was really difficult to film. I'm really rooting for them. I know he is doing this for her. It is a dramatic return," she said.
Meanwhile, Luddington is still optimistic that Jo and Alex will be able to sort their issues out and eventually get back together. In an interview with TV Guide, Luddington said that Jo is very positive about their relationship, and Alex is also exerting the effort to right his wrongs.
"Jo kind of has this optimistic moment with Alex, and I think that there is this hope at the end of it. He reacted in such an understanding way that maybe there is a possibility there for a future," she said.
Unfortunately, Luddington cannot share any more information about the upcoming second half of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13. But the same cannot be said about her co-star, Sarah Drew.
The actress recently confirmed that her character, April, will reunite with her estranged husband, Jackson (Jesse Williams) in one entire episode from the hit ABC series.
April and Jackson will head to Montana to tend to a patient. Since they are the only two people there, April and Jackson will have no other choice but to rely on each other. This will also open doors for the couple's future.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 will return to ABC on Jan 26 at 8 p.m. EST.
