"This Is Us" Season 1, episode 12 will not feature Kate (Chriss Metz), Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Kevin (Justin Hartley). But this should not be a cause for concern among fans.
According to series creator Dan Fogelman, Kate, Randall and Kevin will not in episode 12 because the entire installment will revolve around the events that took place way before they were born.
More specifically, the episode will lead up to the events in the pilot where Rebecca (Mandy Moore) gives birth. The episode will see Rebecca and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) dealing with their marriage.
Elsewhere, Dr. K (Gerald McRaney) will have compelling storylines in episode 12. Viewers will get to know who he really is, what kind of doctor he is and how impactful he will be in the lives of Rebecca, Jack and their children.
"We see the fireman who found Randall in his fire station and allow him for the 24 hours leading to a doorbell ringing in his fire station and seeing a baby delivered there," he told Entertainment Weekly.
Meanwhile, the teaser for "The Big Day" has just been released by NBC online. In the clip, Rebecca is seen talking to the babies in her womb and expressing her excitement over seeing them.
The following scene showed Randall being left at the fire station while his biological father looked on to see who will get him. Dr. K also mourns the death of his wife who he visits at the cemetery.
Following Rebecca's delivery, Dr. K tells them that they lost the third baby. An emotional Rebecca is saddened over the news and tells Jack that she feels that she is supposed to be a mom of three.
Jack tells Rebecca that there is an option, and Dr. K will seemingly be the one to tell them that Randall can be adopted.
"This Is Us" Season 1, episode 12 will air on NBC on Tuesday night.
