For the movie “Lost in White,” Chinese actor Tony Leung jumped into a chilly river in Heilongjjiang during winter in Yichuan. To prepare for the scene, he soaked himself from head to toe.

In real life, Tony Leung plunged into marriage with actress Carina Lau. Like his chilly river dive, he was prepared for marriage because he and Carina Lau had been living together for 19 years before they formally tied the knot nine years ago. However, the motivation to walk the aisle came from Carina Lau.

No Regrets

In a guesting with “Familiar Taste,” a variety show, the 51-year-old actress shared that she did not want to have regrets after she realized life is fleeting following her father’s recent death. Carina Lau said she wanted Tony Leung’s mother to see her son being married while she is still alive, Toggle reported.

The couple has been together for 28 years now. Carina Lau added that Tony Leung is a very thoughtful spouse. She recalled when she broke her arm during a shooting and he took care of her for three straight days. At one point, Tony Leung, 54, suggested they retire from acting even if he was on top of his career for them to enjoy a break.

New Movie

The pair were last seen in a movie together in “Ashes of Time” and “Days of Being Wild.” They would again be seen in the upcoming film “Asura” together with teen star Wu Lei. The movie, with a budget of $100 million, would be exhibited across in China in 2018, China.org reported.

The fantasy epic is being filmed in Hebei Province in northern China with a crew from 13 countries, including veterans from “Pacific Rim” and “The Lord of the Rings” franchise.
