Apple users who want to use the Google Calendar app on their iOS devices need not to worry as the Android giant finally released the app for iPhone. Google Calendar can now be downloaded for free at the App Store.

Google Calendar still retains its smart calendar features and no additional services were added, according to Engadget. However, the migration to the iOS platform will help Apple users especially those who are depending on Google's digital services like email.

The app's user-interface closely resembles that on the Android platform. It still uses Google's Material Design guideline which presents a very simple yet streamlined list for important events tin the user's calendar.

Just like in its Android variant, events are still distinguishable from each other due to the color code based on what calendar the event belongs to. Additional information for a specific event will also be presented if available. Google's Material Design clearly breaks the usual monotony of standard digital calendar present in some smartphones and other devices.

Jumping from one date to another becomes much easier due to the addition of the month-view feature; however upcoming individual events will not be shown in this specific type of view. Users can easily check their upcoming events by simple switching from a one-day view or a three-day view. In this view, users can use the search feature using specific keywords related to an event in order to easily access them.

Users of Google's email service Gmail will find the app exceptionally handy since it will automatically sync up events found in the users Gmail account. However, some analysts said that the automatic synching feature is only available on the mobile version and they are experiencing problem when done using a desktop computer, according to Wired.
