Bioware has released a brand new cinematic trailer for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" along with a series of new details about the game. However, Bioware General Manager Aaryn Flynn opted not to share any details regarding the game's romance options.

Flynn was confronted with a fan on Twitter and was asked if Bioware would reveal the characters that the player could form a romantic relationship with. Instead of listing the names of party members or NPCs that would open romance options, Flynn decided to hold the information.

"Yeah honestly I'm inclined to not do that. We've done it in the past and I'd prefer to keep that for the role playing," Flynn tweeted. "I guarantee you it will be out there in the zeitgeist very soon after launch."

Producer Mike Gamble did tease that the new alien race, referred to as the Angara, will be kissable, Dual Shockers reported. It is also hinted that the female lead, Sara Ryder, will have more romance options compared to her male counterpart, Scott Ryder.

While players can choose between playing as Sara or Scott, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will not ignore the story of the character not being played. This indicates that if a player chooses Sara and forms a romantic relationship this could then affect Scott's storyline and events.

Romance has played a large role in the franchise. The series is also renowned for being one of the first AAA game series to feature romance with characters of the same gender.

There is still a possibility of the romance details leaking out early. EA, the game's publisher, will give early access to EA Access and Origin Access members, Game Rant reported. Early access players are expected to reveal some of the romance options before the game's launch.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" releases on March 21 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The second cinematic trailer can be viewed below:
