"Mass Effect: Andromeda" will no longer be using the Paragon or Renegade dialogue options from the original trilogy. Instead, the game will now feature a more dynamic approach to dialogue options that will require players to pay closer attention depending on who they may be talking to.

"What we have now is based more around agreeing and disagreeing," creative director Mac Walters explained in an interview with Official Xbox Magazine (via Games Radar). "It changes by the circumstance and it changes by the character you're talking to, so you have to actually be more engaged in what's going on, to know if you're going to do that."

He further explained that in the previous games, players would just hold the analog stick to the right knowing it would automatically lead to the Paragon dialogue option. Because of this design, gamers were not paying much attention to the conversation given that the "right" choice was always on just one side of the dialogue wheel.

In the original trilogy there was less of a shade of grey in terms of the game's moral compass. By choosing the Paragon options players could always be the good guys and with the Renegade options players can play as villainous as they pleased, Dual Shockers reported.

This will no longer be the case with "Mass Effect: Andromeda." Players will now need to pay more attention to the conversations in the game and then choose to agree or disagree depending on the context of each situation.

However, the full extent of this new system has yet to be fully showcased. Some dialogue options may be in the "agree" side of the wheel but each one could contextually lead to a different result.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" will release for the Xbox One and PS4 this March 21. The official trailer can be viewed below:
