Fans of the "Bellas" are now excited to see the lady group perform again on stage this year in "Pitch Perfect 2".
As per Zeenews, young actress Hailee Steinfeld joins the little sister of the Bellas, Emily, who has her own insecurities. However, she has to move on and think that she is a Bella since she is a great singer and performer.
Meanwhile, another teaser clip of the film has been released after the release of its two official trailers. The teaser gives the fans a widened glimpse on the story plot, in which Bella's performance unfortunately fails in front of the President of the United States. Now, the ladies are challenged to set the wrong right and stand out in the international competition.
After the release of "Pitch Perfect" last September 28, 2012, the film gained an estimated domestic gross of $65 million and an estimated foreign gross of $48 million, for a total of $113 million.
"Pitch Perfect 2" is the upcoming sequel of the American musical comedy film. The movie was based from a non-fiction book entitled "Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate A Cappella Glory", authored by Mickey Rapkin. "Pitch Perfect 2" follows the story of the members in an a cappella group that enters into an international competition in which no American group has ever won.
The film stars Anna Kendrick as Mitchell, Skylat Astin as Jesse Swanson, Rebel Wilson as Fat "Fat Amy" Patricia, Anna Camp as Aubrey Posen, and Brittany Snow as Chloe Beale. John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks will also reprise their roles as the commentators in the competition.
The film was piloted by Elizabeth Banks, with Paul Brooks, Kay Cannon, Max Handelman, Jeff Levine, Jason Moore, and Scott Niemeyer as co-producers. Kay Cannon and Mickey Rapkin took the helm as film writers.
Filming began last May 21, 2014 at Louisiana State University campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The film is produced by Gold Circle Films and distributed by Universal Pictures. "Pitch Perfect 2" is slated to premiere in theaters and cinemas on May 15, 2015.
