"Riverdale" Season 1 episode 7 titled "Chapter Seven: Ina a Lonely Place" will air on The CW on March 9, Thursday, at 9 p.m. At this point, some viewers begin to question the mental health of Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart).
In an interview with Too Fab, LReinhart was asked whether or not Betty is mentally ill. She said the "Riverdale" episodes are starting to hint that her character may have mental issues like the rest of her family.
According to Reinhart, viewers have already seen the most of her character's boiling over point in “Riverdale” Season 1 episode 3 titled “Chapter Three: Body Double.” In the episode, Betty and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) started to investigate the death of Jason Bloom (Trevor Stines).
When asked if fans are going to see an explosion of her character, Reinhart admitted that Betty has mental health issues in the sense that she has a lot of built up anxiety with everything going on with her sister Polly Cooper (Tiera Skovbye). The actress added that Betty’s parents keep telling her she is crazy
This makes Betty think that she may be really crazy and she is going off the rails a little bit, Reinhart explained. The actress added that her “Riverdale” character is trying her best to keep it together.
Meanwhile, Sprouse talked about Jughead’s sexuality in an interview with Comic Book. The character is not asexual like the one introduced by Chip Zdarsky in the comics.
For Sprouse, it makes sense to him as the person who is dumping much time and much argumentation into trying to correctly represent Jughead. Thus, the actor expects that it will also make sense to other people.
