Dark Comedies

- Russian Doll

Co-created by Parks and Rec star Amy Poehler, this dark comedy takes its influence from Groundhog Day but adds some dark and satirical twists. In this series, a young woman (Natasha Lyonne), must find a way to survive her own birthday party but keeps dying over and over again.

This Netflix original is interesting, hilarious, and a little twisted. If you are a dark comedy fan, this is the show for you.

- Private Life

Private Life touches on the sensitive topic of infertility and the desperation felt by those still trying to conceive closer and closer to menopause.

Giving an often-hushed topic a darkly comedic view makes this movie one of the most interesting new releases in the comedy genre. If you want to feel and be moved while you laugh, this is the choice for you.

Romantic Comedies

- The Kissing Booth

When Elle (Joey King) runs a kissing booth and experiences her first kiss, she doesn't expect it to be with her secret crush. This coming of age tale is based on Beth Reekle's novel of the same name.

If you like to reminisce on the purity of the awkwardness that is being a teenager, let The Kissing Booth transport you to a time when friendship pacts and silly drama consumed your world.

- Nappily Ever After

After a disaster at the salon awakens a woman to her true values, a soulful barber helps her piece her life back together. This unique and intimate comedy, starring Sanaa Lathan, gives a pure look at what it means to reinvent yourself.

If you want to laugh, cry, and feel - this is the movie for you.

Stoner Comedies

- American Pie and American Pie 2

This is one of those "not new, but new to me," options. The American Pie movies are stoner comedy classics, and they just found their way to Netflix on February 1st. If you are the kind of person who likes easy laughs and a little bit of raunchy comedy, watch Jason Biggs in his most iconic role.

- Game Over, Man

If you are a fan of Kyle Newacheck's Workaholics, this is the pick for you!

Kyle and the boys from Workaholics: Adam Devine, Blake Anderson, and Anders Holm came together again to bring us this Netflix original. It is a raunchy comedy about doing what it takes to make it and desperately trying to shine in the face of absurd adversity.

Classic Comedies

- Pretty in Pink

What is there to be said about this Brat Pack classic? Molly Ringwald shines in this classic romantic comedy feature a young James Spader and baby-faced Jon Cryer.

If you've never experienced the non-stop-smile inducing joy of a John Hughes film - this is a first you don't want to miss out on.

- Monty Python and The Holy Grail

The mother of all British comedy movies - Monty Python and The Holy Grail just might be the most quotable movie of all time.

It is such a well-known piece of comedy that if you haven't seen it, we guarantee you still know many of its jokes!

Whether you are re-watching or watching for the first time, there is never a dull moment in Camelot.

Family Comedies

- The Incredibles 2

This movie is one of the most anticipated sequels of all time. In fact, the wait for this movie was so intense that the months leading up to its release sparked a slurry of gatekeeping memes like the internet had never seen before!

If you didn't get a chance to see this one in theatres, don't worry! Netflix has you covered. We think you will enjoy this hilarious follow up to a Disney - Pixar classic.

- Hotel Transylvania 3

Adam Sandler has really stepped into his role as a father and family filmmaker with a bang. Though he seems to always have a new project releasing, the Hotel Transylvania series has been one of the most consistently successful.

The third edition to his unique take on a monster movie is unsurprisingly just as funny as it's two predecessors. If you are looking for an easy watch, or a movie to see with the kids, this is the film for you.
