The upcoming Marvel's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is the final film in the trilogy since "X-Men First Class". It might also be the last appearance of actor Nicholas Hoult as Beast.

Hoult spoke with E! News at the opening party for Boffin's Lab Powered by Jaguar and Wired insider at SXSW. The 25-year-old actor said that the upcoming film is the last he is signed up for.

Hoult also shared his thoughts on the previous X-Men film, "X-Men Days of Future Past". He said that the film did well that people wanted to watch and engage with it. For the actor, he had a good time playing the role of the super powered character. He is glad being part of the "X-Men" franchise, since the film has a great crew and cast to work with.

The film was released on May 23, 2014 and it has reached a total estimated gross of $748 million.

The next installment for the "X-Men" franchise is the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse", in which Nicholas Hoult will reprise his role as Hank McCoy/Beast together with Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkholme/ Mystique.

Other "X-Men" stars who will be reprising their roles are James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier/ Professor X, Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen as Erick Lehnsherr/ Magneto, Hugh Jackman as Logan/ Wolverine, and Halle Berry as Ororo Munroe/ Storm.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to be piloted by Bryan Singer, with Simon Kinberg, Hutch Parker, and Lauren Shuler Donner as co-producers.

October last year, producer and co-director Simon Kinberg revealed in Collider that "X-Men: Apocalypse" marks the end of the trilogy for the "X-Men: First Class" characters. However, Kinberg clarified that this does not mean that fans will not be seeing the characters again in the future movies. He also revealed that one of the highlights in the upcoming film is the relationship between Mystique and Beast, which they were not able to explore in "Days of Future Past".

Marvel's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to premiere in theaters and cinemas on May 27 next year.
