Also known as A-Song-Fe or ASF, the event is an Asian pop music festival held annually in South Korea since 2004. The Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE)  hosts the festival. ASF promotes cultural exchanges between Asian Countries via performances by K-pop and top singers from Asia.

The festival, which is spread over five days, will see performances by top K-pop and Asian artists only during the last day on the ASF main stage. The final day's musical performances will be broadcast on October 9 at 7 PM KST. The music artists will perform on special stages at a location where the beautiful atmosphere of Gyeongju can be experienced

The other days of the festival will also be fun-filled experiences. The second, third, and fourth days of the event will have busking performances by K-pop artists against a backdrop of the cultural assets of Gyeongju. On these three days, i.e, October 6-8, the show will be broadcast at 7 PM KST.

The festival will have other Asian artists such as Super V and O2O  from Vietnam, Annette Delicia of Indonesia, Vanessa Reynolds of Malaysia, Mew Suppasit from Thailand, Nona Diamonds from the Japanese group AKB48, and artists Yu ZijunX Zhang Ziwei and Zheng Chuang from China.

The final day of the festival will see a racing-theme travel journal where fans can meet the K-pop stars for a virtual date online. The event will be broadcast on October 9 at 2 PM KST.

This year the event will be broadcast live online on the official website and YouTube channel of Asia Song Festival, partner YouTube channels such as Thee K-Pop and Naver Now, and portals such as Naver TV, V Live, and U + Idol Live.

The Masters of Ceremony or MCs for the festival have been announced. Bambam of K-pop boyband group GOT7 will host ASE 2021 and Sandra Park, the former member of 2NE1 will also accompany him.

Last year, the festival was hosted by NCT's Doyoung and CLC's Yeeun. The ASF 2022 line-up of performers was impressive with K-pop acts such as iKON, Ateez, Astros Moonbin, and many other famous artists including international artists and groups.
