Songs are awarded a certified all-kill when they are on the realtime charts of iChart and FLO, VIBE's daily chart, the daily and realtime charts of Bugs and Genie, and the 24Hits and daily charts of Melon. When a song tops the iChart weekly chart too then it achieves a perfect all-kill.

IU posted the video for the song on October 19 on her official YouTube channel, with the title "The National Weather Service said that the 'Strawberry Moon' rises today". She gave a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of filming the song, where IU is seen in a convertible car as she sings along. Interestingly, the license plate of the convertible car has the date "JUN 14-2022.

The singer shared the meaning behind the numbers on the license plate, saying it is the next date when the next strawberry moon will appear.

The strawberry moon, which is redder than the usual moon, rises only once a year in June. IU also revealed that as per the lunar calendar it is her birthday on June 14, 2022.

In the video, IU also mentioned that it is Kiss Day on June 14 and she wants to have an outdoor concert that day and give a live performance of "Strawberry Moon" to her fans below the strawberry moonlit sky. The singer, however, added that the day will be a Monday and it is tough to host a concert on that day.

The song "Strawberry Moon" is a pop-rock number that enhances the melodious vocals of IU with a dreamy synth sound.

In the newly released music video, IU goes on a melodious, galactic ride just when the clock strikes up a vibrant moon, making everything magical. The singer scoops the colorful moon into a cone while floating in a dreamy room with various objects around her.

The video then shows the singer and her lover skipping over planets between cotton candy-like clouds. The music video seems to showcase the timeline of a relationship as the couple progress from nervously holding hands at the cinema to playing games and going for long drives, to finally culminating in a proposal.
