YG Entertainment, Blackpink's talent and management agency, has released an official statement on November 25 related to the Covid-19 test results of the members.
They have announced that Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo's real-time RT-PCR tests results have come back as negative. The news will be a good respite for the millions of BLACKPINK fans and well-wishers who have also been posting get well soon messages on the group's and individual members' social media handles.
The entertainment company also added that Lisa, who has received a Covid-19 positive result on November 24, ahead of her filming schedule has no suspected symptoms and is in very good health.
All four members of BLACKPINK have completed their vaccinations for Covid-19 and YG Entertainment and their artists have been very cautious about matters of health and safety through regular pre-emptive tests.
The agency also added that they were wishing a speedy recovery to Lisa and would be cooperating with the quarantine authorities' epidemiological investigation and taking all necessary measures for the prevention of spreading Covid-19.
According to YG Entertainment, Lisa had an upcoming schedule to shoot a video, which will now be getting pushed to a later date. For a while now, the Thai-rapper has been concentrating on her solo career, which also featured collaborations with international stars such as Meghan Thee Stallion and DJ Snake.
Meanwhile, the quartet reunited after quite some time after their Paris and US trips on Tuesday. The girls took to their official Instagram stories to post selfies together, which led to speculations that BLACKPINK is looking to make its comeback.
Incidentally, Rosé had canceled her scheduled engagements before getting the results of her Covid-19 test, as soon as she came to know that Lisa had tested positive. She withdrew from Tiffany&Co pop-up even on November 25, and also delayed a show at the Hyundai Seoul Mall.
South Korean health authorities had previously announced that it was mandatory for non-vaccinated people to self-isolate for 10 days if they had been in close contact with someone who was Covid-19 positive. Meanwhile, people who are vaccinated do not have to self-isolate if their PCR test results are negative.
Meanwhile, Pentagon member Kino has also contracted Covid-19. The groups' management agency, Cube Entertainment released an official statement on November 25. The rest of the band members have tested negative but their activities are on hold right now as per quarantine rules.
