HYBE, the management company of K-pop megastars BTS, released an official notice on Weverse today against illegal filming of the concert shows.
Though two of the four shows of the "Permission to Dance on Stage" concert, which is taking place at the SoFi Stadium in California's Inglewood, is over. It seems that concert attendees had been filming the entire concert in HD and then posting the footage online.
Now HYBE has warned fans not to illegally film the remaining two shows of the concert, which will take place on December 4 and 5.
The management company stated that during the 'BTS Permission to Dance on Stage - LA', concert, actions have violated the copyrights and portraiture rights of the artists. The violation of the portraiture rights and other copyrights of BigHit Music and its artists are prohibited.
The prohibition includes live streaming, voice recordings, videos, and photographs. Apart from cellphones, other recording or filming devices are not allowed in the concert venue.
In case any concert-goer violates these rules, including recording on their phones, they may be asked to delete the captured footage and be forced to leave the concert premises.
Incidentally, the concert in itself was a gala affair. In addition to putting up a spectacular performance on stage, the Bangtan Boys also ensured that entering the venue itself would feel like a cheerful party for the fans and concert-goers.
The venue was complete with vending machines for free photos, selfie spots, photo booths, and even fast-food chain McDonald's serving a free breakfast treat to the ARMY.
Meanwhile, the BTS official YouTube channel posted a two-minute summary of the concert performances yesterday. It was the Bangtan Boy's first live concert in front of an audience in almost two years.
The K-pop group performed in front of a house full stadium, with a capacity of 70,000 against the backdrop of a larger-than-life LED screen.
In other news, The South-Korean band has also set another best record on Spotify, by scoring an impressive feat. They were the 3rd most streamed artist worldwide during this year.
It is rather an improvement for BTS in comparison to their Spotify rankings in 2018 and 2019, where they had placed No. 18 and N0. 6 respectively for the most-streamed artist list.
Furthermore, the band's mega-hit "Butter" placed 16th on the most-streamed song globally on Spotify and "Dynamite" got the 22nd ranking on the same list.
