Adobe has launched a new visual storytelling app for its users owning an iPad. Rightly named Slate, it facilitates its users to amalgamate their text and images and create travel stories, reports, photo albums and much more.
Furthermore, Thai Tech reported that subsequent to the above, users can publish their presentation on Adobe's servers, the link to which can subsequently be shared as per the requirement. Moreover, the provision to embed the presentation in one's own website has also been presented to the users.
Succeeding Voice, the standalone app launched almost a year back, Slate mainly targets students, teachers, small businesses, non profits and corporate employees as its user base. Furthermore, it has also been remarked that this app facilitates the creation of visual presentations for all its users.
Besides that, Adobe product management director Brian Nemhauser at has remarked in a conversation with the Tech Crunch that the editing of data in Slate is easy and fail-proof. He added that to edit users can choose from the two types of headline which include lists and block quotes. He also remarked that the transition and other visual elements can be added using Adobe's animation engine. Furthermore, it was also remarked that the images can be picked from user's Dropbox accounts, iPad albums or Adobe Cloud Libraries.
Adding robustness to the entire experience, Adobe has also clarified that though Slate doesn't contain a plethora of image editing tools, the final draft of their creation would possess a responsive layout which would ensure that the presentation works on any platform. However, since images require different kind of cropping in different environments, it is imperative for the users to indicate the most important part of the image so as to facilitate its cropping process.
Furthermore, though the app is not as innovative as some other already present on the same platform, still it offers an amalgamation of simplicity and ease to its users.
