"Inside Out" film director Pete Docter gave what is inside his mind relating to his upcoming film "Inside Out."

Docter spoke his thoughts on the upcoming film, as per Indiewire. The director said that the film will feature Fear and Joy as the team initially planned. However, he could not decipher the role Joy is going to have along with Fear. According to Doctor, Joy has to set things right, which is a common framework in a number of stories. And that was the time Sadness came to the scene.

Since he has experienced the emotions of joy, sadness, fear, and anger, he realized that the emotions are linked to the most significant aspects in people's lives. For the director, if he had no possession in the world, he would want to cling onto his relationships. "Relationships are central because of emotion," he said.

Docter also shared his ideas on "Inside Out" in his interview with Coming Soon. When asked whether they create the production team creates the Pixar world or the world grows out of the story, the director said that it is cyclical. He said that the inner structure of the mind presents the possibilities in the outside world, reflecting Riley's personality. More than that, the internal world is the only thing the emotions can influence and reflect Riley's character.

"Inside Out" is an upcoming animated film, which connects the main protagonist Riley to the characterization of the five emotions in her mind.

The film voice cast members include Richard Kind as Bong Bong, Kyle MacLachlan as Riley's Dad, Diane Lane as Riley's Mom, Kaitlyn Dias as Riley Anderson, Mindy Kaling as Disgust, Lewis Black as Anger, Bill Hader as Fear, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, and Amy Poehler as Joy.

Docter and Ronaldo Del Carmen are set to pilot the film, together with Jonas Rivera and John Lasseter as co-producers. John Calley is set to pen the film script. The film will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios and Motion Pictures while Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animations will oversee the production.

"Inside Out" is set to hit theaters on June 19.
