"Once Upon a Time" (OUAT) resumes on April 12, 2015 with Episode 18 titled "Heart of Gold." The upcoming segment focuses on Emma's search for the author, return of Robin Hood and Evil Queen's sister The Wicked Witch of West. Here are few spoilers for the next episode of "Once Upon a Time" (OUAT) Season 4. Read on to find out what happens next.

In Episode 17, fans learned who the Author is. Emma accidentally set the Peddler free. Now, she must find him before Gold does. In Episode 18, fans can expect to learn more about the Author and his story. The upcoming segment may reveal the answers to some burning questions pertinent to Author's history.
"Once Upon a Time" OUAT co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis sat down with TV Line and revealed what to expect from the upcoming episode. The main storyline of "Heart of Gold" will revolve around the Author.
"We wanted to get to the reveal of the Author sooner in the season that we thought people might expect, by bringing him out when we did, and now it's about what happens with him out, what happens with who he winds up in contact with, what is everyone's agenda and how do they cross? And what does the Author himself want? Where did he come from and what is he all about?" Adam Horowitz told the abovementioned website.
According to the Horowitz, the upcoming episodes will reveal why, what and when did the Author change things in the book. Episode 18 will also see how Gold forces Regina to do his bidding and the impact of Prince Charming and Snow White's secret on Emma and the family's relationship. Meanwhile, Emma is drawn towards the dark side. She succumbs to it or not remains to be seen, but it is clearly a threat to her family. As for Cruella, she is about to receive her happy ending.
Show's official channel ABC has released synopsis for "Once Upon a Time" (OUAT) Season 4 Episode 18 on its official website. According to the press release, Emma continues to deal with the truth she learned about her parents and their deal with Maleficent. At the same time, Gold will blackmail Regina as he seeks his happy ending.
The flashback will take audience to the World of OZ where Robin Hood's story is revealed and how he became the respected thief. Back then, Rumplestiltskin made a deal with Robin Hood that required him to steal a precious magic elixir from its owner-who happens to be the Wicked Witch.
