The handsome husband of the Posh Spice Victoria Beckham, 40, is about to become a godfather.
David Beckham, 39, was "the perfect choice" as the godfather of Sailor, the son of his sports and entertainment manager best friend Dave Gardner and Liv Tyler, 37, because the retired British footballer is a "great influence," a source told The Sun.
According to the source, David is very close to Gardner as "they were best men for each other's weddings so are involved in their major events" and they "speak to each other all the time and their families are well connected."
Gardner and Tyler welcomed their son Sailor on Feb. 11. He was Tyler's second child. Her first child was Milo, 10, her son with her former partner Royston Langdon of the British band Spacehog.
During her 37th birthday on July 1, 2014, Tyler was spotted hitting the streets of New York City in high heels, sunglasses and a blue floral wrap-around mini-dress. At the time, she suffered a small wardrobe malfunction with her bikini underwear and bare legs exposed when the wind blew, New York Daily News has learned.
Aside from being Aerosmith frontman's daughter, Tyler is also known for her big screen roles including Lucy Harmon in the 1996 film "Stealing Beauty" and Grace Stamper in the 1998 film "Armageddon." She had her movie debut in the 1994 drama thriller "Silent Fall."
In 2014, Tyler played Jessica Marlowe in "Space Station 76" and Linda in "Jamie Marks Is Dead." She also appeared on the TV series "The Leftovers."
