At the very heart of the 2015 Toyota Highlander is its four-cylinder engine considered by many reviewers to deliver enough power. A V6 engine is also available but did not garner much attention due to its lower fuel efficiency despite its high acceleration score. The six-speed automatic transmission of the Highlander also received high praises from reviewers and car enthusiasts citing it as very responsive.

Some of the Highlander's standard feature include perforated leather for the front and second row upholstery with a heated and ventilated front seat. It also has a second row captain's chair, a blind-spot monitor equipped with rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, chrome headlights and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The Highlander also has a JBL 12-speaker sound system with Entune Premium, according to Automoblog.

The standard Highlander has an EPA fuel efficiency rating of 20miles/gallon for city and 25miles/gallon for highway while the V6 model scores 19miles/gallon for city and 25miles/gallon for highway.

The Highlander can accommodate up to eight passengers including the driver. Standard model comes in with a front-wheel drive but interested buyers can opt in for the optional four-wheel drive. The Highlander comes in two engine variants; the 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine and the 3.6-liter V6, both comes in with six-speed automatic transmission.

The Toyota Highlander comes in four different trim variants; LE, LE Plus, XLE and Limited.  Prices start at $29,665 up to $44,040 depending on the model.
