Vancouver police official Brian Montague said in an email with the publication that they are investigating the incident but there is no available information as of now regarding the progress of the investigation.

According to People, Reynolds was in the area as he was shooting for the film "Deadpool" and he has been there for a few weeks now. Reynolds is also born and raised in Vancouver. The much-talked about R-rated film will be out by 2016.

Reynolds took it to his Twitter account to talk about the incident after a reporter from CBC tweeted about how he is after being hit. Reynolds did not answer the question of the reporter as he just joked about putting "Beachcombers," a popular series from 1972 to 1990 being back on air.

Reynolds referenced the show because the reporter was from CBC and the show was aired in the said network. The reporter left his phone number for Reynolds to call but Reynolds just joked about the show being back on air and that's the only time he will call.

Meanwhile, Reynold's wife, Blake Lively, was not in the area where the actor was hit as she was in Los Angeles to promote her new film entitled "The Age Of Adaline." The film is set to be out by April 24 this year.
