"American Idol 2015" judge Harry Connick Jr. was not pleased when contestant Quentin Alexander made negative comments on Joey Cook and Rayvon Owen being at the bottom on the April 15, Wednesday episode of the Fox singing contest.

After his first of two performances," Alexander appeared to be visibly upset although he received positive comments for his performance of Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Go My Way" from Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban.

When host Ryan Seacrest asked him about his noticeably bad mood, Alexander pointed to Cook and Owen.

"This sucks," Alexander told Seacrest. "My best friend is sitting over there. This whole thing's whack and I'm going to shut up right now."

Connick Jr. quickly questioned Alexander's comments saying, "I don't understand that at all. Quentin, if it's that whack, then you can always go home because 'Idol' is paying a lot of money to give you this experience."

"For you to say that to this hand that is feeding you right now, I think it's highly disrespectful," Connick Jr. told Alexander who had left the stage. Lopez appeared to be scared when Alexander approached the judges' table and stood at Connick Jr.'s side.

"When I said that this was whack, I wasn't saying this was whack," Alexander said gesturing to the judges. He then gestured to Cook and Owen and said, "That is whack."

"What's whack?" Connick asked. "It's a competition."

Alexander explained that his personal feelings were hurt to see Cook and Owen, who he has grown to love, to go home so he is not disrespecting the "American Idol" competition.

Connick Jr. said that was not clear so Alexander said he was glad that he had the chance to clarify it.

In the end, it was Cook who was voted off while Owen advances to top six with Alexander, Jax Cole, Tyanna Jones, Clark Beckham and Nick Fradiani.
