Musician cum tidal-shareholder Jack White is at it too, joining Jay-Z on the bandwagon.

Vania Schlogel, daily operations chief of Tidal and Roc Nation's chief investment officer, said that detailed fanbase analytics is one feature of Tidal which gives the artists access to their fans. Thus, the call rounds.

After the relaunch, Tidal's CEO Andy Chen stepped down on his position with parent company Aspiro Group's CEO Peter Tonstad acting as interim CEO, Billboard reported.

Tidal was originally launched in October 2014. At the start of this year, shareholders of the Swedish tech company Aspiro Group, which owns WiMP and Tidal, put the "premium" streaming service on sale. Jay-Z bid $56 million.

At the end of January, majority shareholder Schibsted, a Norwegian-based media company, accepted Jay-Z's bid.

At the end of March, Jay-Z relaunched Tidal in New York with several music superstars. Among those present on the event were Beyonce, Madonna, Daft Funk, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Jack White, Usher, Coldplay and more.

Two weeks after Tidal's relaunch, artists like Lily Allen, Grammy-winner Mumford and Sons, and Indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie slammed the service.

Mumford and Son's frontman Marcus Mumford said that they do not want to align their music to any music streaming service, adding that they want people to listen to their music in their most comfortable way.
