Smoothes 2.0 are here. The newest item on Starbucks' breakfast menu is its Evolution Juice line of smoothies. The pricey $6 cost warrants the question: which (if any) of the three flavors are worth it?

Each of the three smoothies contains juice, Greek yogurt from Dannon, a tad of nutmeg, and ice. An extra 50 cents can get add-ons including fresh banana, kale, or whey protein powder.

The three available flavors are: Strawberry, Mango-Carrot, and Sweet Greens. Each has a unique taste, but one is slightly better than the other two.

The Sweet Greens smoothie is a fun way to get your greens. It is chock-full of vitamins and minerals, but has a strong flavor like celery and a texture that is a bit gritty.

Dannon yogurt helps to add a delightful tangy edge to the Mango-Carrot smoothie. While this is certainly a tasty and refreshing breakfast beverage, some people might find it a bit too sweet.

Although it is certainly up for debate, Strawberry is arguably the best of the flavors of Starbucks' Evolution Juice smoothies. It provides the perfect blend of sweet, tangy, and creamy, and can be jazzed up with banana and protein powder, according to Pop Sugar.

Everyone has his or her personal preferences, so that is an important issue to consider. Another factor is that adding the right add-ons can make a standard flavor terrific or terrible.

Arguably the add-on that requires the most caution is kale. The idea of drinking a green leafy veggie might seem a bit odd, or even insane.

Reviews for the kale ingredient are mixed, according to Yahoo. Some taste-testers said it was "great," a game-changer, and added the "perfect" sweetness.

Others, however, were not crazy about kale. They said they disliked the veggie, it tasted like "plastic," or even gave them a headache.
