"Grey's Anatomy" is set to air its final episode for the season on May 14, but until now thousands of fans are still not over Derek's shocking death.
A few weeks ago, Derek (Patrick Dempsey) saved the lives of a group of teenagers who were involved in a car crash.
After doing a good deed, he went inside his car, picked up his phone and was hit by a truck.
A week later, Derek's memorial was featured on "Grey's Anatomy," but fans were not all too happy either because they were expecting the return of Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh).
Now, one of the biggest questions being asked is how will Meredith survive the tragic death of her husband.
During next week's finale episode, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) will discuss the shocking events that took place prior to Derek's death, Venture Capital Post reported.
Amelia will confront Meredith to ask her why decided to pull the plug on her brother. Meredith will calmly respond that there's nothing else she could have done to save her. Unfortunately, Amelia will not buy her reasoning.
Derek's death will take a toll on Meredith and Amelia's relationship and whether or not things can still be fixed between them is something fans need to watch out for in season 12.
Meanwhile, "Mentalist" star Joe Adler has also been tapped to guest-star on episodes 23 and 24. However, as of late, his role has not yet been disclosed, according to Breathe Cast.
