iPad Pro release date is now speculated to happen in June at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers' Conference in order to counter Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

It seemed that Apple is on its toes as its iPad line recently got a very strong competitor with last year's Surface Pro 3. The tablet received positive reviews and recognition from critics and consumers. The tablet-laptop hybrid was even awarded at the "best tablet" at this year's Mobile World Congress. Due to the good reviews, Microsoft is motivated to make a follow up on the device.

According to Slash Gear, the Surface Pro 4 hybrid device will be released this month. Although the device did not make an appearance at the aforementioned tech event, the company dropped some hints on the upcoming specs and features of the much-awaited device. The WWDC tech event used to be the launching platform of iPhone and new iOS operating system.

With rumors that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be released this month, grapevine surfaced that iPad Pro will be released next month in order to counter the popularity of the aforementioned Microsoft slate.

Meanwhile, newest rumors claimed that iPad Pro will pack 12.9 inch screen display with 2K pixel resolution. There are rumors that iPad Pro will also pack Intel chipset and not the A-series processor similar to what is packed in other iPads. Moreover, the device will also sport a universal Type-C USB 3.0 port and longer battery life. The tablet will also be equipped with Force Touch and NFC Stylus, according to Venture Capital Post.

However, Apple has not confirmed the aforementioned rumors yet.
