"Glee" alum Jane Lynch recently opened up about her offbeat therapist, who was flawed in so many levels, but one that she kept coming back to because of her wisdom.
During the CBS upfront presentation of her upcoming show, "Angel from Hell," Lynch was asked who her best adviser was. That was when she revealed that her therapist could very well be her strongest guiding light.
While talking to People magazine, Lynch also talked about the kind of relationship she has developed with her therapist.
According to the 54-year-old actress, who played the role of Coach Sue Sylvester on "Glee," therapists are not supposed to love their clients on a personal level, but for some reason she knew hers did.
Just like her role in "Angel from Hell," Lynch's therapist has been offering her invaluable pieces of advice while using unconventional methods.
"She said, 'Everything is about love, you have got to go into your heart every time,'" Lynch said. "But she had me burn a couple of bridges. She said, 'Dump 'em! Get rid of them! Get rid of her!' And it was not exactly the best advice, but she always encouraged me to go into my heart and that is where all wisdom lives."
Meanwhile, Lynch will be playing the role of a loud-mouth alcoholic who thinks that she is a guardian angel who was sent to watch over a doctor (Maggie Lawson) from going down the wrong path, CBS News reported.
"Angel from Hell" is slated for release some time this year.
