According to Korean publication Who Wired, the company will finish the prototype earlier than expected, which is around mid-June. Samsung also confirmed that the final prototype will be presented to the clients and global telecom companies. Carriers will take pre-orders before the launch at the end of July.

The South Korean company thinks that the earlier release date will give it an advantage over Apple's iPhone. It is a strategy to have shorter honeymoon time of Samsung's premium smartphones.

iPhones 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were released in October 2014 and topped the sales and surpassed 50 million unit sales per quarter. This posed an immense threat to Samsung devices.

Meanwhile, rumors claimed that the Galaxy Note 5 will include features such as 5.9 inches in size with 4K screen resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 for protection, Samsung Exynos 3.2 GHz octa core processor with 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage variants, 19 megapixel with optical image stabilization and 4.7 megapixel front-facing camera, and 3,700 mAh battery capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will most likely run with the new Android OS that will be released in July at Google's I/O tech event, according to International Business Times
