It has been confirmed that the release date of Warner Bros. titled "The Accountant" starring Ben Affleck is on Jan. 29, 2016. "The Accountant" is Affleck's first film since "Gone Girl," in which he starred with Rosamund Pike and Neil Patrick Harris.
Like "Gone Girl," "The Accountant" is also a thriller starring Affleck as a bright accountant working as an assassin on the side, Entertainment Weekly has learned.
Directed by Gavin O'Connor, written by Bill Dubuque and produced by Mark Williams and Lynette Howell "The Accountant" also stars Anna Kendrick, Jon Bernthal, J.K. Simmons and Cynthia Addai-Robinson, among others.
Also set to be released in 2016 is DC Comics' "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice." In 2014, fans were given the chance to have the first close-up look at Affleck's batsuit during the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) CNN reported.
Shown on the SDCC floor was Affleck's Batman costume cape and cowl along with a profile photo of the newest Bruce Wayne. The exhibit was a part of a montage tribute for Batman on his 75th anniversary. However, the actor was not present during the event.
Jesse Eisenberg will play Lex Luthor with "Man Of Steel" stars will reprise their parts with Cavill as Superman/ Clark Kent and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams, and Diane Lane are also set to play Perry White, Lois Lane, and Martha Kent respectively.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder took to Twitter to share a photo of Affleck in his Batman costume during the SDCC event. Prior to this, Snyder tweeted a photo of Henry Cavill in his Jedi Knight-themed Superman costume.
