Jason Derulo will join the judging panel of "So You Think You Can Dance?" season 12 along with the Fox reality show creator Nigel Lythgoe and former "American Idol" judge Paul Abdul. The "Talk Dirty" singer has dished on the twist of the new season, which will premiere on June 1.

Lythgoe has revealed that there will be two teams, Team Street and Team Stage. He said they are looking for the top 10 stage dancers in ballet, ballroom, contemporary and tap, and the top 10 street dancers in hip-hop, salsa, street and tango.

"There's rules to both sides, and there's rules to be broken on both sides," Derulo revealed to People magazine. "You have to bring your A-game every single time."

About "So You Think You Can Dance?" season 12 twist, Lythgoe said after looking for the best dances in Team Street and Team Stage, they will join them together "and all hell's gonna break loose."

On the other hand, Abdul simply said, "If you come in here and the bar's up here, you either have to beat that or you have to be brave and kinda step outside of the norm."

"So You Think You Can Dance?" season 12 auditions took place in five major American cities, which started on Jan. 24. One Team Street auditionee told Entertainment Tonight said, "Not one of us is going to have the same style. We're all going to be very versatile. We're all working towards the same goal, but you're not going to see the same thing from any of us."
