Former actress of the popular 80s sitcom "Full House" Lori  Loughlin officially announced on "Good Morning America" that she is reprising her role as Aunt Becky in the reboot set to get underway next year.

Titled "Fuller House"  the sequel is produced by John Stamos who plays the beloved character of Uncle Jessie in the show.

The much anticipated revival which will air on Netflix in 2016 is to work a plot around the character of DJ Tanner Fuller played by Candace Cameron Bure who is widowed and has children of her own to raise.

The plot for "Fuller House" which weaves a similar line as the original story will see DJ share a home with good friend Kimmy  Gibbler played by  Andrea Barber and DJ's sister Stephanie played by Jodie Sweetin who move into help raise her boys.

Actress Loughlin told interviewers on the morning show that she was looking forward to uniting with the whole cast and was excited at the prospect of helping Candance, Andrea and Jodi set off the new show, according to E! News.

It is reported the show will get underway with a  reunion special and thereafter the spinoff episodes are set to air.  

Further actress Loughlin said the full cast of "Fuller House" will appear in the first episode and thereafter her character will appear intermittently.

While details are still being worked out with other cast mebers of the original show fans of the show will however, not see the return of the twins Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen who have turned down the chance to reprise their roles.

Previously, Loughlin had indicated in an interview with Access Hollywood that she was unsure if she would return at all and remarked that the whole cast would like to return if the "the powers that be" would be fair,  she said referring to the ongoing negotiations among cast members.

The orginal cast of the show comprises actors John Stamos, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin , Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Lori Loughlin, Andrea Barber, Scott Weinger, Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit.
