iOS 8.4 jailbreak release may happen soon and it could be the last jailbreak that Apple users will see as iOS 9 to pack "rootless" security feature that will put an end to all jailbreaks.

According to Apple-centric website 9to5 Mac, iOS 9 is a formidable operating system since it will be rootless, which is an all-new security apparatus. Without the root, users with administrative-level will not be able to access certain protected files in Apple devices. However, the real effect "rootless" security is still unknown until the release of iOS 9.

Amidst the reports of iOS 9 being hard to jailbreak, the hope lies to the rumored iOS 8.4 jailbreak. iOS 8.4 is reportedly the final version of iOS 8 and will be released soon. It will pack new features like CarPlay and Beats music streaming service.

iOS 8.4 has been jailbroken before as German hacker Stefan Esser also known as i0n1c was able to develop untethered jailbreaks for the iOS 8.3 and iOS 8.4. Esser called his jailbreak a "proof of concept" and was merely for personal purposes.

Meanwhile, Chinese developers TaiG and Pangu who successfully jailbreak iOS 8 before are reportedly working on their own versions of new jailbreak.

Apple may roll out the official version of iOS 8.4 anytime soon. The tech giant already seeded the third beta version of iOS 8.4 to developers and participating beta testers for scrutiny and to sweep the operating system off bugs and issues that may affect the overall performance of the OS.

Gospel Herald reported that the iOS 9 release date depends on the launch of iOS 8.4. Thus, Apple will release the iOS 8.4 first, which will be the last version of iOS 8. There is a huge possibility that iOS 9 will be rolled out in Apple's annual Worldwide Developers' Conference on June 8.
