Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, 46, had a serious leg injury after jumping off the stage during a performance at Ullevi in Gothernburg, Sweden on June 12, Friday. It was reported that the stage fall took place early in the band's set.
After sustaining the leg injury, Grohl tried to continue performing by singing "Under Pressure," according to TMZ. The 1981 song was originally recorded by Queen and David Bowie, which was included in the 1982 album "Hot Space" of the British rock band.
It is yet to be determined where the exact injury is, according to Billboard, but Grohl told the crowd at the packed concert that he thinks his right leg was broken, saying, "Ladies and gentlemen, I think I just broke my leg. Right now, I'm gonna go to the hospital. I'm gonna fix my leg. But then I'm gonna come back, and we're gonna play for you again."
While Grohl was taken away for medical attention, the rest of the Foo Fighters band resumed playing. Eventually, the former Nirvana drummer was carried back on stage on a stretcher. He continued the concert with his bandaged right foot and told the crowd he would stay on the stage unless a doctor orders him to leave.
Grohl is also currently filming "Slashed," which also stars Chris Martin, Jon Buckland, Moby, Tim Wheeler, Mark Hamilton, Rick McMurray, Charlotte Hatherley and Ben Kweller, among others.
As an actor, the Foo Fighters frontman is credited as David Grohl. In 2013, he appeared in several TV series including "Drunk History," "Ghost Girls" and "The High Fructose Adventures Of Annoying Orange."
