There is little chance for an earlier Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date this 2015 despite earlier reports that the ongoing $150 price cut on the Surface Pro 3 could signal a nearing unboxing. The Windows 10-powered tablet rollout will likely happen as early as August, a new report said.
While it could be that Microsoft's Father's Day discount deals on the Surface Pro 3 reveal its intention to clear out stocks of the tablet as quick as possible and make room for incoming and freshly-minted Pro 4, other possibilities are to be considered too. The most plausible, according to Design & Trend, is the Surface maker simply wants to generate profit out of the occasion. The basic idea is why not use the outgoing Pro 3 to realize some quick bucks.
The argument makes sense in the same way that the Surface Pro 4 will not come out in the immediate weeks ahead, the report added. For one, the tablet will surely not pre-empt the Window 10 commercial debut, which starts on July 29 as free upgrade for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 users, as the prevailing belief is the Pro 4 will be among the few devices that will first showcase the beauty and might that were coded into the operating system.
So a June or July outing for the Pro 4 seems to be out of the question as it will unnecessarily disrupt the release blueprint that guides Microsoft, both for the hotly anticipated tablet and Windows 10.
What would be more logical is an August arrival for the tablet, that is if the original plan by Microsoft is to power up its 2015 flagship tablet with Intel's Skylake chips, which reportedly will begin flexing out its muscles around the same month. Now, waiting out for the latest Intel processor makes even more sense, Design & Trend said.
Skylake CPU on the Surface Pro 4 will mean greater flexibility for Microsoft. With the processor, the possibilities of component and feature upgrades that the device will unpack are nearly without limits. Superfast mobile processing speed, higher RAM provisions, larger storage configuration and incredibly efficient battery usage are just the initial benefits packed with the Intel Skylake chip that should make the bit of waiting worthwhile, the report added.
If there is a Microsoft 2015 release date schedule already written in stone, it is for the Windows 10 that as mentioned will be ready as free download beginning on July 29. Not long after, the Surface Pro 4 touchdown will follow and likely bearing the majority of the rumored power specs and killer features long attributed with the device.
