Blum also explained the story behind the character Toby. In the first four installments, fans could not help but wonder who Toby really is. He said that their original plan was to just leave Toby's story as that but it seemed that fans want answers.

When asked whether or not fans will finally get what they have been looking for, Blum said that it is quite difficult to tease the events that will take place in "Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension." Still, he assured fans that the biggest Toby questions will finally be answered in the sequel.

Meanwhile, according to Latin Post, "Paranormal Activity" started as a low-budget film that premiered in Peli in 2007. The film starred Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat.

To Blum's surprise, the film was well-embraced by fans and the first film grossed $193 million worldwide. In total, the entire franchise has already grossed roughly around $383 million.

"Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension" is expected to level up or even surpass the earning of the first movie. It will be released in theaters in the United States this coming October 23, in time for Halloween. The film will also have a 3D version.
