E! Entertainment Television, owned by the NBC Universal International Network, will be launched in Taiwan on July 1. It is home to popular shows such as “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills."
Among those who will get access to the world-famous channel are the 1.28 million subscribers of the domestic cable TV providers CNS, OTT channel aggregator FTV, and mobile TV portal Asia Pacific Telecom.
E! has gained popularity because of its pop culture news that features wide-ranging topics such as celebrities, trends, movies, TV shows, fashion, art, music, design, nightlife, technology and even sports.
"As the leading destination for pop culture and one of our portfolio's iconic global brands, the launch of E! in Taiwan marks an important milestone for NBC Universal's International footprint in the Asia-Pacific region," NBC Asia Pacific's managing director, Christine Fellowes, remarked.
"We are delighted that viewers in Taiwan can now enjoy E!'s exclusive content offerings, featuring up-to-the-minute Hollywood news, the most talked-about reality entertainment and fascinating profiles of the hottest A-list celebrities," she further stated.
For July, E! Taiwan will feature the encores of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills."
E! News, the channel's flagship daily showbiz program, is set to air from Tuesday until Sunday, 8 p.m.
Meanwhile, a new series entitled "Stewarts & Hamiltons" will be launced on July 28 at 9 p.m.
On July 10, same time, the brand-new show "Hollywood Cycle" will also premiere.
