The first trailer of "Rocky's" seventh installment, "Creed," is out and it appears from it that the upcoming movie is more about Rocky's famous rival-turned-friend Apollo Creed's son Adonis Creed and his struggles. It seems for the first time in the history of "Rocky" series, an African-American fighter is going to lead the movie.

Nine years after reprising his most iconic role, Sylvester Stallone is set to make a comeback in the movie as Rocky, who will eventually mentor his dead friend's son, played by Michael B. Jordon, who is still dealing with the untimely death of his champion father.

It may be recalled that Apollo, played by Carl Weathers, had died in Rocky's arms in the middle of the ring in "Rocky IV," after a dramatic match with mammoth Soviet Olympic boxer, Ivan Drago, played by Dolph Lundgren.

Since Adonis does not know much about boxing or about his dead father, he heads to Philadelphia to track down Rocky to seek training. Rocky is operating an Italian restaurant when he is approached by Adonis, who pursues the former boxing champion to train him as a successful professional boxer.

Despite Rocky's repeated denial and claims that he has quit the fight-game for good, Adonis sticks around and eventually persuades the champ to train him.

"Creed" also stars "Selma" star Tessa Thompson in the role of Adonis' love interest and a local singer, Phylicia Rashad as Apollo's widow, English pro boxer and former three-time ABA Heavyweight Champion Anthony Bellew as boxing champ "Pretty" Ricky Conlan, ComingSoon.Net reported.

The movie is directed by Ryan Coogler of "Fruitvale Station" fame and co-produced by the 68-year-old "Rambo" star, CNN reported. The movie is set to release on Nov. 25.
