Malia Obama, eldest daughter of U.S. President Barack Obama, is doing an internship under Lena Dunham and was seen on the set of the racy show "Girls."

The teenager was spotted on the Williamsburg on June 2, Thursday, casually sipping a soft drink while hanging out on the set, Page Six reported. She spent almost three hours on location in Brooklyn as the HBO show filmed at the Aurora Ristorante, a hipster haven on Grand Street, creating curiosities among onlookers.

The sighting of the teenager led to the speculation that she is set to appear for a cameo in the show.

However, it soon turned out that the first daughter was on the set as she interning for the summer and will be working with Dunham's crew for the next few days, TMZ reported. The teenager, who seems to have an affinity towards show business, has interned last summer on Halle Berry's show "Extant."

The 16-year-old, who will be turning 17 on July 5, Saturday, had worked as a production assistant on the set of Barry's show for a week in June 2015. She reportedly spent most of her days going on runs for coffee and drinks for the cast, along with blocking people from walking through scenes during the shooting.

It was also reported that although Malia was given the required secret service protection with the presence of a team of agents on the set in disguise, she was given a proper space to complete her assignment like a normal intern.

Last month, Malia, along with her sister Sasha Obama, accompanied her mother, Michelle Obama, around the globe to promote her empowering Let Girls Learn campaign, in which she drew attention towards her impeccable and elegant dressing style.
