Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger is said to be fascinated with the 19-year-old Spaniard as well especially after the Gunner's former scorer, German Lukas Podolski, bolted out to the Turkish Süper Lig club Galatasaray SK.

Wenger seems to be looking to add depth to his team's forward lineup, and Munir would be perfect in playing behind recent Copa America champion Chilean Alexis Sánchez and fellow French man Olivier Giroud.

Munir is currently placed in the reserve team of Barça as he is struggling for much-needed experience and playing team. For most of last season, he was relegated on the bench with superstar trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suarez hogging all the spotlight.

Although there are no confirmed reports of a finalized deal yet, speculations have been swirling that the 65-year-old Wenger is carefully searching for young talent. With the attacker said to be available on loan this season, Arsenal might be looking to settle for it rather than an actual transfer.

According to Inside Spanish Football, the Gunners have formally reached out to the Catalonian club with regards to their interest on the young boy for a "season-long loan". However, Barça manager Luis Enrique allegedly wants Munir to stay at Camp Nou and learn more from Messi and company before moving out.

The Spanish international was allowed to have 10 caps last season due to Suarez's FIFA suspension where he scored a goal.
