Samsung is expected to launch two new phablets later this year, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
Both Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are coming to the IFA 2015 conference in Berlin in September. The Galaxy Note 5 will have the Samsung's S Pen technology for tapping on the screen with the stylus-like digital pen, with features including Action Memo, Screen Write, Smart Select, and handwriting recognition. Both are made of aluminum and glass, and both will have glass backs.
Both handsets are sporting 5.7-inch Super AMOLED displays with 2560x1440 Super AMOLED displays, with difference on the display construction. Galaxy Note 5's screen will be flat, while Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be curved on both sides. Interested buyers can choose from different colors of the handset: black, white, silver, and gold.
Galaxy Note 5 will be featuring an all-in-one ePoP chip that includes 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7422 processor. On the other hand, Galaxy S6 edge Plus features a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor. Both are running under Google's Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. It is also likely that both handsets will not have a microSD slot for expandable storage, BGR reported.
Galaxy S6 Edge Plus sports 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. Note 5 rumors to have 16MP shooter with optical image stabilization and its front camera is either 8 MP or 5 MP. S6 Edge Plus features a generous 32GB internal storage and a 3000mAh battery, according to Phone Dog. Note 5 is said to have a USB-C connector, making it the first Android smartphone to feature the latest-generation USB.
