This year's pool of free agents may just be what NFL teams are hoping for to help fill in holes in their rosters. We've got a lowdown on the best free agents available before the NFL 2015 season starts.

In just a few weeks, summer training camps will finally start and teams will be faced with one of the worst problems they will have to work with even before the season kicks off - injuries. While it is inevitable and may be a huge setback for the teams and players, it is also the best time for free agents to step up and shine. Some of these athletes can even get training-camp invites even without injuries in the team.

Expect these players to get NFL team invites in the next weeks:

1. Evan Mathis

Evan Mathis is described as the "best free agent available" by the Bleacher Report for his consistency in field. The site noted that the athlete has never "graded negatively in a significant way in any one game". Mathis will be a great addition to the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots even if no injuries occur in their rosters.

2. Wes Welker

Wes Welker may have been undrafted but he has had a good run in the NFL so far. He has had several seasons with more than 1,100 yards rushed. Over a ten-year career, he has had 50 touchdowns and 890 receptions.

However, last year he has had his worst year since his rookie season in 2005, mainly because of concussions. Nonetheless, the athlete is expected to bring his A-game this coming season if ever signed.

3. Anthony Collins

Collins was a stable swing tackle until he transferred to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Everything went sour from there. According to SB Nation's Cincy Jungle, the athlete "allowed 14 quarterback pressures (13 hurries and one quarterback hit) without surrendering a quarterback sack in 389 pass blocks" in 2013.

However, when he transferred to the Buccaneers, he scored a disappointing -12.9 overall score and had locker room issues, forcing Tampa to release him.

Should any team sign him, they can expect quality reserve for the offensive tackle.
