Emma Duval (Willa Fitzgerald) will continue to be heartbroken in the upcoming new episode of "Scream: The TV Series." The synopsis and sneak peak video for "Scream: The TV Series" episode 5 titled "Exposed" tease about another secret that will distress Emma once she finds out about it.
Emma's heart already got broken in the ending scene of the previous episode titled "Aftermath." A sex video file of Emma and her boyfriend, Will Belmont (Connor Weil), got leaked in Lakewood after Noah (John Karna) and Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus) checked the files they copied from Nina Patterson's (Bella Thorne) laptop.
According to TV Guide, Emma will find out about a "heartbreaking secret" in "Scream: The TV Series" episode 5 following the leak of her sex video. The "heartbreaking secret" could be the one that Emma's friends are keeping from her as teased in the official sneak peek video titled "Lying to Emma" that MTV released.
In the sneak peek video shared on YouTube, Brooke Maddox (Carlson Young) starts to feel uneasy about something that she knows and she is keeping it from Emma. Jake Fitzgerald (Tom Maden) notices Brooke's easily upset behavior at the coffee shop so he convinces her to tell him what the problem is.
Brooke blurts out that someone needs to tell Emma about what really happened during their freshman year. Jake tells Brooke that she cannot do that Will because he is already at a breaking point.
Brooke finally admits that she can no longer keep lying and hiding a secret from Emma. While serving some customers close to Brooke and Jake's table, Emma hears the conversation between her friends.
"Lying to me about what?" Emma asks. Then, Jake tells Brooke to do what she needs to do before leaving the coffee shop.
"Scream: The TV Series" will air on Tuesday night, July 28, with episode 5 titled "Exposed" at 10/9c on MTV.
