Samsung restated its dedication to releasing smartphones supported by its proprietary Tizen OS, revealing the markets for the launch of Samsung Z3.

Tizen is the company's operating system designed to run not only smartphones but also Samsung tablets and television products, CNET reported. The operating system was first used with the Samsung Gear wearable.

Creation of Tizen Operating System was meant to reduce the company's reliance on Google's open-source Android software, and the first smartphone from Samsung to use the OS was Samsung Z1 released in January in India. The Samsung Z1 smartphone sold 1 million units in India in about six months after its release.

Meanwhile, the company has identified three places suitable for the release of the Samsung Z3 smartphone that is powered by Tizen OS - Bangladesh, India, and Nepal, Digital Trends said.

Although Samsung has not yet announced an official date to launch the Z3, fans expect the Korean tech giant to release the new gadget at the Tizen Developer Summit planned to happen on July 30 and 31.

Rumors also have it that there will be a European launch of Tizen-powered smartphones, including the new Samsung Z3, later this year. However, there is much coverage and expectation in the market for the Samsung Z3, which may force the company to avail the smartphone in more markets in future.

From the Phone Arena, the anticipated specs for the new Samsung Z3 include a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen and a resolution of up to 720p.The phone will as well have an 8mp rear camera and 5mp front camera, 8GB of internal storage, and powered by a Spreadtrum SC7730S processor together with 1.5GB RAM.
