Although Durand has not been officially tapped to join "The Walking Dead," the actor revealed that fans of "TWD" have been asking him about the character Negan. The 41-year-old actor acknowledged the fact that the character is incredible and said that if he will to play it officially, he is sure he will have so much fun.

The actor also added that he is such a huge fan of "The Walking Dead" and said that he will be willing to take on the role of Negan if it will still be available in the next few years. As of late, Durand's schedule is packed due to "The Strain" and "Vikings."

Meanwhile, it is still unclear when exactly will Negan be introduced on "The Walking Dead." However, in a recent interview with MTV News, executive producer Robert Kirkman confirmed that a new villainous character will be introduced in season 6. Kirkman added that Negan will definitely be part of the hit series and his storyline will become one of the most important ones on the show.
