Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich is firm on keeping their prized winger, Thomas Müller, at the Allianz Arena amidst the rumors of a massive £70.7 million offer from Manchester United.

Metro indicated that United manager Louis van Gaal had ordered team executives to prepare a £70.7 million transfer fee for the Germany international. Van Gaal had been hinting of a "surprise" signing recently and it was speculated that it is going to be a world class striker.

With the departure of Robin van Persie, Radamel Falcao, and Ángel Di María, the Red Devils only have Englishman Wayne Rooney as their lone goal scorer as of the moment. Mexican striker Javier Hernández is rumored to be transferred to Tottenham as well, but is still being held on standby as van Gaal is said to be waiting for that big-time striker deal to push through.

Müller is just one of several options placed on the table of the Dutch mentor this summer. Other possibilities are Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain, and Müller's Bayern teammate, Robert Lewandowski.

However, Bayern is reportedly not willing to let go of any of their players at this moment. ESPN reported that the Bavarians' CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes that the 25-year-old German will stay with Die Roten for the rest of his career.

"Thomas Müller is not for sale," the Reds executive said. "I have the feeling that Thomas will never leave FC Bayern. He feels great here."

Rummenigge added that the organization plans to absorb Müller into their front office upon his retirement from professional play someday.
