Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli is reportedly on his way out of Anfield as manager Brendan Rogers told the 24-year-old Italy international that he does not want him to be with the first team, as per the Independent.

The 6-foot-2 and one-half inch forward is now training separately with teammates Jose Enrique and Fabio Borini, who are also allegedly on their way out of the English club this coming season.

Rogers had been dangling Balotelli to any takers for a transfer fee of only £10 million. The Reds have acquired the Palermo native last year from AC Milan for a cost of £16 million.

Balotelli, who is known for his out-of-control attitude on and off the pitch, was not included in the team's lineup during their preseason tours in Southeast Asia, Australia, and Europe which lasted on Sunday.

However, there are no major interests from any team for the mercurial forward to date, as well as for Enrique and Borini.

New acquisition Christian Benteke scored in his debut game for the Reds, who beat Swindon Town last Sunday. The Belgian striker's stellar play made it easier for Rogers to decide on letting go of Balotelli, who reportedly had only given him problems during his one season stay with the team.

Meanwhile, TalkSport indicated that Serie A SS Lazio is set to bid for Balotelli, but only on loan and "if they don't have to pay all his wages."

It is not immediately known if Rogers is okay with this kind of offer as I Biancocelesti is asking Liverpool to split with them Balotelli's £100,000 weekly salary.
